While Nick Viall and Shawn Booth agree to end their feud, Nick refuses to accept Kaitlyn Bristowe's explanation as to why she said the 'l' word when she didn't mean it.

AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" special "After the Final Rose" reunited Kaitlyn Bristowe with Nick Viall, which she dumped in the season 11 finale, resulting in an awkward moment. Nick, who almost proposed to Kaitlyn, called her out for saying "I love you" to him.

"We said 'I love you' to each other. That was towards the end, and obviously I took that to heart. I'm wondering what you were thinking," he said, asking for an explanation. In her defense, Kaitlyn responded, "That's what happens in this world. You get into situations. I think at the end of the day, no love that I had was the one that I had for Shawn. I think that is the only explanation."

After watching Nick's failed proposal, Kaitlyn apologized to Nick, but he didn't seem to buy it. "I wish that there was more consideration for what we had, or more importantly how it would affect me," he added.

Nick also met his nemesis Shawn Booth who ended up winning Kaitlyn's heart. Surprisingly, they made up on "After the Final Rose" as Nick admitted, "I let those frustrations get the best of me. I ended up not being much better. We let our immaturity come out; we weren't the best versions of ourselves."

Shawn, meanwhile, blamed ABC for over-dramatizing his feud with Nick. "There were so many moments that weren't shown because they wanted to get this big feud between us. It's kinda disappointing," he said.

Next, the happy couple finally appeared together in public after taping the show. "We can't wait to go to Starbucks. We honestly just want to start living life. Being around family," Kaitlyn said. Her fiance chimed in, "The best thing that can happen tomorrow morning when I wake up is that I can stand up for my girl and defend her now. This girl is the strongest woman that I've met in my entire life."

Also on Monday night, July 27, the newly engaged couple appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". They promised that they would stay together for at least a year, but if they break that oath, they agreed to pay host Jimmy Kimmel $1,000.

Kaitlyn spoiled the winner with a Snapchat photo of herself and Shawn in a bed together in June. "You're the first Bachelorette to ruin the ending of the show," Jimmy told her. "I will tell you, they were very, very mad at you here at ABC." She claimed that the lead was completely accidental.

Meanwhile, Jimmy asked Shawn, "If you weren't on the show and had to pick one of the guys to be with Kaitlyn, who would you pick?" Shawn answered, "Ben H.," who has been rumored to be a frontrunner for "The Bachelor".

The couple also gushed about their relationship in an interview with PEOPLE. "I didn't think I could be this happy," Kaitlyn said. Claiming that "it was love at first sight," she added, "We have such an honest relationship. Every day I think, 'I picked the right guy.' " Shawn said about his fiancee, "She just makes me feel different, something that I've never felt before. It's what I've been looking for."

Kaitlyn was criticized a lot for some of her decisions on the show, but she has no regrets about the process. "I went through a lot of challenges," she said. "But I found the person that I will be the happiest with, and that is worth it."
