The 'I Drove All Night' songstress may return to the stage for the first time since her hiatus due to Stiff Person Syndrome a lot sooner than her fans think.

AceShowbiz - Celine Dion's long-awaited live comeback may be a lot sooner than her fans think. It was revealed that the "I Drove All Night" songstress, who has been in a battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, may return to the stage during the Paris Olympics.

On Tuesday, June 25, The U.S. Sun reported that the 56-year-old music legend "has received a formal offer from organizers of the Paris Olympics to perform during the huge opening ceremony next month." If she performs at the event, it will be her first-ever show since her hiatus due to her health issue.

The source spilled to the media outlet, "Celine has made no secret of her desire to make it back to the stage, and Paris would be the perfect opportunity for her to do that. Unlike other offers which are full shows, making an appearance at the opening ceremony would see Celine performing just one song."

"The formal offer to perform was made earlier this year, and Celine is working around the clock to make it happen," the source went on to say. "She's made huge leaps and is getting stronger every day, but she's not out of the woods yet. Everyone has their fingers crossed it is able to happen. It will be quite the moment."

However, organizers of the upcoming event, which will kick off in July, refused to share information about the matter. Speaking to Bizarre, via The U.S. Sun, the organizers stated, "We want to ensure the opening ceremony is full of beautiful surprises. You'll have to wait until July 26."

The report came after Celine assured fans that she will return to the stage despite her health struggles. Speaking to "Today" show co-host Hoda Kotb in an interview published by NBC on June 11, she said, "It didn't take anything away from me. I'm going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will."

Celine broke the news about her diagnosis back in 2022. Her condition has seemingly gotten better as she has made her high-fashion comeback in a Vogue France magazine cover, which was published in April. In May, she looked in good spirits when she watched The Rolling Stones perform in Las Vegas.
