The delightful news was shared on Mattie's Instagram, where she posted a few heartwarming photos of baby Wesley's early days, capturing moments with the new parents and their dog, Ryman.
"One week ago my life was forever changed," Mattie began her announcement. "Wesley Alan Smith joined our little family on June 20th, the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined. There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already."
In February, Mattie had announced her pregnancy on Instagram with joyful anticipation. The photo featured Connor hugging Mattie while she held ultrasound pictures. "We are absolutely thrilled to share BABY BOY SMITH coming this June!!!" she wrote, expressing her excitement for the new addition.
The couple tied the knot in June at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida, following their engagement announcement eight months prior. Reflecting on her new life chapters, Mattie shared, "Wooooo we did it!! Grateful is a gigantic understatement. More pretty pics to come later - off to the islands with my HUSBAND!"

Mattie, who hosts the podcast "In Joy Life with Mattie Jackson," has been open about her journey to finding love again after the tragic loss of her first husband, Ben Selecman, in 2018. As Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise, celebrate their expanding family, they now have two grandsons.
