The 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' actor returns to music with a brand-new offering, a song that provides encouragement and inspiration during difficult times.

AceShowbiz - Will Smith has released his first new single since 2017, titled "You Can Make It." The uplifting track, released on Friday, June 28, sees Smith collaborate with Fridayy and the Sunday Service Choir (renowned for their work on Kanye West's "Jesus Is King").

With lyrics like, "So many tests for the flesh / Exhausted, gasping to catch your breath / Walking through the valley of the shadow of death," Smith conveys a message of perseverance and resilience, urging listeners to keep going even in the face of adversity.

In a heartfelt social media post, Smith shared that music had been his constant during some of his darkest moments. "It's my humble wish that it can do the same for you and bring you all the joy and light you deserve," he wrote.

The single marks Smith's first independent release and is expected to be part of a forthcoming project. He will make his live debut of "You Can Make It" at the 2024 BET Awards this Sunday, June 30. The awards show will also feature performances from Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.

Smith's return to music follows the box-office success of "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," in which he starred alongside Martin Lawrence. He had previously hinted that he had been working on new music for the past year and a half, describing it as "the most personal and powerful" he had ever made.
