The actor, who stars in the upcoming 'Road House' remake, showcases his comedic chops in a series of hilarious promos for his hosting gig on the season finale of NBC's Saturday Night Live'.

Alongside musical guest Sabrina Carpenter and cast member Bowen Yang, Gyllenhaal delivered a series of witty exchanges and absurd songs.

The first promo features Carpenter expressing her appreciation for Bowen's praise of her song, unaware that the tune he's singing is not hers. Gyllenhaal joins in, much to Carpenter's amusement. In another clip, Yang applauds Gyllenhaal's physique in "Road House", only to reveal his fitness inspiration is to remain "skinny fat."

Carpenter also shared the origin of her surname in a playful way, prompting laughter from Gyllenhaal and Yang. The promos conclude with Yang declaring that the show cannot get any funnier, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the upcoming episode.

Gyllenhaal will host "Saturday Night Live" Season 49's finale on May 18th, with musical guest Sabrina Carpenter. The episode will air on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET before streaming on Peacock.
