AceShowbiz - "Only Murders in the Building" has treated fans to an insight into the upcoming season 4. During Disney upfront presentation on Tuesday, May 14, the hit Hulu series, starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin, unveiled a teaser for the new season.
The new teaser features Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) & Mabel (Gomez) making the cross-country trip to Hollywood after their "Only Murders" podcast gets a movie offer. "I just got an email a Hollywood studio wants to make a movie of our podcast," Mabel informs Charles and Oliver.
As they are heading to New York for a new journey and adventures, including red carpets and house parties in the Hollywood Hills. It later shares a glimpse of Charles' rather embarrassing way during a negotiation.
"It's just a four," an executive says before Charles replies, "Four, four hundred? Four thousand? Four million?" Oliver, meanwhile, quips, "Or five?" as Mabel shakes her head.
The teaser additionally reveals that Melissa McCarthy will be making an appearance in the fourth season of the beloved thriller comedy. She will join previously announced guest stars, including Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani and Richard Kind.
Meryl Streep, Jane Lynch, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Michael Cyril Creighton will also return for the new season.
According to its official description, season 4 will see the trio wrestling with the shocking events at the end of season three surrounding Charles' stunt double & friend Sazz Pataki (Lynch). Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio's investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast. As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey - traversing their building's courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.
Season 4 of "Only Murders in the Building" will premiere on August 27 on Hulu.
