The 78-year-old actor, who plays Charles-Haden Savage on the award-winning series, gives fans a sneak peek into the upcoming season of the hit Hulu show.

AceShowbiz - With filming underway in New York City, Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez are back in full force for season 4 of the acclaimed comedy-mystery series. Martin raves about the upcoming season, calling it "star-studded" and hinting that it could be one of their strongest yet.

"It's star-studded," the 78-year-old told PEOPLE. "And I'm going to say we're about halfway through, and we are really enjoying this season. We think it could be one of our best seasons. Although they're all flawless."

The cast will be joined by familiar faces, including Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd. They will be joined by newcomers Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis and Molly Shannon.

The search for answers continues in season 4, as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel investigate the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). They must uncover whether Charles was the intended target and who would have a motive to harm them.

Showrunner John Hoffman reveals that the season will explore the theme of "consequences," examining the impact of the podcast and the events that have unfolded.

Despite their on-screen crime-solving skills, Martin and Short's real-life financial arrangements are more balanced. Martin assures that the pair split expenses "very, very even," though Short admits to occasionally adding a bit extra to the tip.
