The Mandy McAllister depicter says in a new interview that fans of beloved prequel series of 'The Big Bang Theory' should prepare for an emotional farewell and the launch of a new spin-off.

AceShowbiz - As "Young Sheldon" draws to a close with its two-part series finale on May 16, star Emily Osment warns viewers to have plenty of tissues on hand. In a new interview, she teased that the finale will bring tears to fans.

"The finale is going to truly break your heart," she revealed in an interview with PEOPLE. "Make sure you're sitting down and you have Kleenex."

Osment, who portrays Mandy McAllister, has been a fan favorite since her guest appearance in season 5. Her character has evolved from a single mother to a wife and mother, and she is set to reprise her role in a new spin-off series with Georgie, titled "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage".

While plot details remain scarce, Osment hints at exploring Mandy's ambitions beyond motherhood. "It's hinted that [Mandy] wants to go back to school and have a career, which I think is a tremendous thing for mothers," she said. "I can't wait to see what they do with that."

The "Young Sheldon" finale will also feature nods and Easter eggs for longtime fans, according to Osment's costar Iain Armitage, who plays the titular character. "It very much comes full-circle," he teased. "We're trying to satisfy both fans of our show and 'Big Bang'."

Despite the bittersweet conclusion, Osment is excited for the future of the "Big Bang" universe. "I can't wait for what's next," she said. "But I definitely want to give [Young] Sheldon its due."

The "Young Sheldon" two-part series finale airs Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Emily Osment, Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry and other cast members return for the emotional goodbye.
