Wendy Williams' best friend claims the former TV host had multi-million dollars in her bank account before her court-appointed guardian declared she had no money left.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams, famed for her vibrant presence on "The Wendy Williams Show," is at the heart of a troubling financial saga. According to recent court documents, Williams had a staggering $55 million in her Wells Fargo accounts just days before her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, informed her there were no funds left.

An affidavit filed by Regina Schell, a close friend of Wendy Williams for 44 years, provides a vivid recount of the events. Schell's account, detailed in court filings connected to Williams' ex-husband Kevin Hunter's ongoing alimony case, adds to the swirling allegations of financial mismanagement.

She stated, "Wendy expressed to me that she wished to explore options regarding her estate, specifically a possible change with her current financial institution… She also shared with me documents from Wells Fargo showing a cumulative balance of nearly $55 million."

The bizarre sequence of events gained traction in July 2022 when Schell visited Williams in New York City. During this visit, Schell witnessed Wendy's interactions with financial institutions, including a detailed meeting with Bank of America's Private Banking Group. However, shortly thereafter, Wendy received alarming news from her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

"Days later, I returned to my home in California and received an urgent call from Wendy's then-publicist… The publicist claimed to have overheard a conversation between Wendy and Ms. Morrissey, whereas Ms. Morrissey gave Wendy the unfortunate news that there is no money in Wendy's accounts," Schell stated in the affidavit.

The revelation of Williams' financial turmoil has significant implications for her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, who has been embroiled in a contentious court battle to resume his divorce settlement payments. Hunter alleges that Morrissey is responsible for emptying Williams' accounts.

During a court hearing, Hunter pointed out that Morrissey had been involved in a separate racketeering investigation, raising further concerns about the management of Williams' estate.

Compounding her financial woes are Williams' health issues. Diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage, aphasia, and frontotemporal dementia, Wendy's cognitive health has reportedly deteriorated over the years. According to an insider, "The doctors at the rehab clinic predicted the eventual decline in Wendy's cognitive abilities… If she continued to drink she would become increasingly forgetful."

These multifaceted difficulties have left Wendy Williams amid a complex legal battle, with friends and former allies striving to clarify the custodianship over her substantial estate. As the court cases proceed, the spotlight remains firmly on the enigmatic and troubling circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Wendy Williams' $55 million fortune.
