AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams thinks her manager Will Selby isn't good for her. Regina Schell, the former TV personality's close friend of over four decades, revealed in a new interview that Wendy no longer felt safe in New York and being around Will.

Regina told The U.S. Sun, "Wendy told me she didn't feel safe in New York anymore, and that was why she had started looking for a place out in L.A." The friend added, "She told me she felt her manager was not protecting her and she felt she was in peril."

Wendy later stayed in Los Angeles after she reached out to her publicist Shawn Zanotti. "She called Shawn and Shawn flew out to New York and got Wendy and flew with her back to L.A. in 24 hours because she believed Wendy was fearing for her life in New York," Regina recalled.

According to Regina, who previously spoke to the star several times a day regularly, Wendy was concerned about not having access to food or any support network when she was at her home in New York. Regina explained, "She didn't have any food and she'd ask her guardian to send her breakfast, since she didn't have access to her own money, and the food wouldn't show until hours later."

The pal added that the former "The Wendy Williams Show" host was often left alone at home. "When I would leave, she'd be sitting in her apartment by herself," she divulged.

Regina also recalled her last conversation with her friend. "She told me she was going to lunch with her manager and that she would call me when she got home. But she never got home, and she hasn't called me since," she shared. "She sounded concerned in that last phone call, I could feel the vibe and it was something dark."

Wendy has been placed in a guardianship since early 2022. Earlier this year, her care team revealed that the TV star was diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. "Aphasia, a condition affecting language and communication abilities, and frontotemporal dementia, a progressive disorder impacting cognitive functions, have already presented significant hurdles in Wendy's life," the team shared at the time.

It continued, "Wendy would not have received confirmation of these diagnoses were it not for the diligence of her current care team, who she chose, and the extraordinary work of the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine. Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires."
