"I have realized that I'm not going to be able to continue Season 5B or into the future," he said. "It was something that really changed me. I loved it, and I know you loved it. And I just wanted to let you know that I won't be returning."

Costner praised his time on the series, calling it "a beloved series that I love." He expressed his gratitude for the relationship he developed with fans and stated that he would "see you at the movies" in reference to his upcoming film, "Horizon: An American Saga".

According to reports, Costner's departure is due to scheduling conflicts with his own film project, "Horizon". The actor has explained that he wants to prioritize completing the multi-part Western series, which he has invested significant personal funds into.
