A superstar shocked fans earlier this year after being arrested for DWI, putting his marriage in jeopardy. Another musician, meanwhile, was forced to cancel her overseas tour after being detained at the airport. Some other stars, on the other hand, were taken to custody for assault.
While these stars showed remorse in their public statement, take a look at the Top 10 celebrity arrest that shocked most people in 2024 so far.
1. Killer Mike
Killer Mike ruined his celebratory night when he ran into troubles with the laws at the Grammys earlier this year. On February 4, right after the rapper won Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album for his album "MICHAEL" at the 2024 Grammys, the musician was arrested over an altercation with a security guard at the Crypto.com Arena. It was said that the security guard refused to let Mike and his team enter due to credential confusion. Mike was booked for misdemeanor battery but was released without bail.
Addressing the situation, Mike cited an "over-zealous security guard" and expressed confidence that he would be cleared of all wrongdoing. It was also reported that he could avoid further legal trouble as the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office have decided not to file charges against the Atlanta-based rapper.
2. Darius Rucker
Also in February of this year, Darius Rucker made headlines after getting into legal trouble. The country singer was arrested and booked on three misdemeanor charges in Williamson County, Tennessee on Thursday, February 1. The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman's attorney Mark Puryear issued a statement, "Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges," Darius' attorney Mark Puryear said.
Darius was arrested for two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state's vehicle registration law. He allegedly was driving with an expired registration tag. The 57-year-old was released shortly after he posted the $10,500 bail.
3. Austin North
Austin North was arrested on February 13 for allegedly punching, hitting and shoving two nurses and a phlebotomist at UMC Hospital in Las Vegas. The "Outer Banks" star was booked on three counts of battery on a protected person with police reporting that Austin claimed "he has no recollection of any of the events that occurred."
Of the incident, North said on Instagram Stories, "I am deeply upset by the events that took place in Las Vegas this past week. My friend drove me to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. Several tests were taken, including blood, which came back negative for any drugs or alcohol in my system. I was having a severe anxiety attack." He also said that he had "very little memory of the events that day at the hospital," and that he hoped "to shed light on this debilitating disorder and send hope to those who have also struggled."
4. Alaia Baldwin
Alaia Baldwin's party night went wrong. On February 24, the daughter of Stephen Baldwin was arrested following an altercation involving a tampon at a bar. The model was charged with simple assault, simple battery, battery and criminal trespass after assaulting employees as she forced her way into an employee-only bathroom after being instructed to use the public restroom. She allegedly threw a tampon at a female bartender member and pulled a bouncer's hair. Another bouncer, meanwhile, claimed that she kicked him in the groin.
Later on March 1, Drew Findling claimed in a statement that Alaia "is embarrassed and saddened by the events of that night." He also said that the sister of Hailey Baldwin "is proactively taking the necessary steps to ensure that it never happens again."
5. Christian Dumontet
Christine Quinn's husband Christian Dumontet made headlines in April. The realtor husband of the "Selling Sunset" alum was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly throwing a bag of recyclables that contained glass shards at Quinn and hitting their son. He was arrested again for trespassing at their Hollywood Hills home.
Dumontet, however, denied the claim that he hit their kid. He even filed for a protective order against Quinn, though his request was denied pending a hearing. Amid the drama, Dumontet filed for divorce from Quinn, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. He also filed for sole legal and physical custody of their son while Quinn is requesting the same.
6. Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen was arrested on April 7 for allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of Chief's Bar, a six-story establishment on Nashville's Broadway. The chair narrowly missed two Metro Nashville police officers standing in front of the building. Wallen was arrested and charged shortly after. He was charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges.
In a statement addressing the incident, the country star said, "I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's." He concluded, "I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."
7. Justin Combs
Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' son Justin Combs was arrested on June 4 for DUI. He was taken into custody after running a red light near Beverly Hills at around 8:00 A.M. Officers found Justin behind the wheel after he was stopped. He had his car searched, and police observed a smell of alcohol coming out of the car. The 29-year-old was hit with two misdemeanor counts for driving under the influence and for having a blood alcohol content (BAC) higher than 0.08 percent or more.
Following the arrest, Justin's mom Misa Hylton seemingly insinuated that the incident was the result of Diddy's bad influence, writing on Instagram Story, "I'm not Protecting no one anymore, Just my Son. The statement 'a fish rots from the head down' means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor [sic] in a family or organization's success, leadership is also the root of cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free."
8. Travis Scott
Travis Scott (II) was arrested on June 20 in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The 33-year-old rapper was booked at 4:35 A.M. local time on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning. He was arrested at approximately 1:44 A.M. following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road. He was released after posting a $650 bond.
"Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding," his attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement, "There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution." The former boyfriend of Kylie Jenner, meanwhile, appeared to laugh off the legal trouble as he wrote, "LOL," on social media.
9. Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj was forced to cancel two of her scheduled shows in Amsterdam for her "Pink Friday 2" tour due to legal trouble. The "Barbie World" hitmaker was arrested by Dutch authorities at Amsterdam's airport for alleged drug possession. She was allegedly carrying marijuana in her luggage.
Following the arrest, Minaj took to social media, claiming she was a victim of racial profiling and accusing former management of plotting against her to sabotage the successful tour. Despite the setback, Minaj's tour continued, however, with performances in Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Glasgow.

The most recent shocking celebrity arrest involved Justin Timberlake. The global superstar was taken to custody on June 18 in Sag Harbor, New York. The 43-year-old singer was charged with driving while intoxicated and received citations for running a stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel.
Justin later addressed the incident during his "Forget Tomorrow World Tour". "It's been a tough week, but you're here, and I'm here," the former NSYNC singer told his fans.
