On February 4, right after the rapper won Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album for his album "MICHAEL" at the 2024 Grammys, the musician was arrested over an altercation with a security guard at the Crypto.com Arena. It was said that the security guard refused to let Mike and his team enter due to credential confusion. Mike was booked for misdemeanor battery but was released without bail.

The country singer was arrested and booked on three misdemeanor charges in Williamson County, Tennessee on Thursday, February 1. The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman's attorney Mark Puryear issued a statement, "Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges," Darius' attorney Mark Puryear said.

Darius was arrested for two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state's vehicle registration law. He allegedly was driving with an expired registration tag. The 57-year-old was released shortly after he posted the $10,500 bail.

Of the incident, North said on Instagram Stories, "I am deeply upset by the events that took place in Las Vegas this past week. My friend drove me to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. Several tests were taken, including blood, which came back negative for any drugs or alcohol in my system.
