The BLACKPINK member, who has been carving her name in music history since her debut as a soloist in 2021, released the new track on Thursday, June 27.

AceShowbiz - Lisa is back with new music. On Thursday, June 27, the BLACKPINK member released a song called "Rockstar" along with its music video that shows her taking over the streets of Bangkok.

Joined by a group of dancers, the Thai native raps her verses while showing off her moves in front of the iconic Yaowarat Road. At some point in the visuals, the singer/rapper stands in the middle of a sea of choreographer wearing white hoodies.

"Gold teeth sitting on the dash, she a rockstar/ Make your favorite singer wanna rap, baby, la la," the 27-year-old spits on the chorus. " 'Lisa, can you teach me Japanese?' I said, 'Hai hai'/ That's my life life, baby I'm a rockstar."

Lisa co-wrote "Rockstar" with Brittany Amaradio, James Essien, Lucy Healey, Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee. She first teased the new track on TikTok earlier this month when the musician joined the platform and set a Guinness World Record by gaining 1 million followers in just over two hours.

Since her debut as a soloist in 2021, Lisa has been carving her name in music history, setting many records on global musical platforms. A few weeks before dropping "Rockstar", her music video for "MONEY" surpassed the billion-views mark on YouTube, marking her first visual as a soloist to hit this milestone.

The accomplishment places her alongside fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie and the iconic PSY as one of the few K-pop soloists to achieve this feat on YouTube. Lisa's achievement is even more impressive given how quickly she reached it: just 975 days, making it the fastest video by a female K-pop soloist to reach 1 billion views on the platform.

Lisa's record-breaking doesn't stop with YouTube. She became the first K-pop soloist to enter Spotify's prestigious "Billion Club" with "MONEY", shattering barriers for Asian solo artists and earning a spot in the Guinness World Records. This makes her the first K-pop soloist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
