While many fans criticize the 'Dark Horse' singer for ignoring questions about her collab with the producer despite sexual assault allegation against him, others come to her defense.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has sparked debate with her silence over questions about her collaboration with Dr. Luke. The "Dark Horse" singer recently chose not to answer some questions about her working with the music producer for her new album.
On Thursday, June 27, a video of the 39-year-old singer made its rounds online. In the short clip, she was documented making her way out of a building and heading to her car. When she was walking, she was surrounded by photographers who asked a number of questions.
One in particular asked if Katy could explain the reason behind her decision to create her upcoming record with Dr. Luke. Similarly, another chimed in with a more specific question, "Isn't your album about women empowerment? Why are you working with Dr. Luke?"
However, Katy was not interested in answering any of the questions. She ignored them, put on a pair of black sunglasses and kept on walking to her car. The door of the luxury vehicle was quickly shut after she got in her seat.
It did not take long for the video to be flooded with mixed responses from social media users. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one in particular blasted the songstress, "The way she just ignores it. sorry she's actually a vile person. f**k her." Another joined in, "I was a katycat before I was an animal and little monster. Watching all of this go down has been utterly heartbreaking."
In contrast, other users came to Katy's defense. One of them asked, "Y'all hate katy more than luke, it's crazy cause where was all of this backlash when several recent hits were produced by him?" Another added, "Where this energy toward [Doja Cat]?, Latto (Mulatto)? You all also should keep the same energy to all the people who work with him, ,why it's only apply on katy?not hating on doja though but it's see how hypocrite you all."
Earlier in June, Katy revealed that she has been working with Dr. Luke for her forthcoming set. Dr. Luke previously was sued by fellow singer Kesha (Ke$ha), who accused him of sexual assault and claimed that Katy was also a victim. However, Dr. Luke and Katy shut down the allegations.
On Thursday, Kesha seemingly took a jab at Katy by sporting a "LOL" tank top during a photo shoot at a Sinclair gas station. Days prior, the "Tik Tok" hitmaker also tweeted "LOL" as a response to news about Katy and Dr. Luke's collaboration.
