After enduring online criticism, the singer/actress has triumphed with her latest single 'Please Please Please' topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her first No. 1 single.

AceShowbiz - On Monday, June 24, Sabrina Carpenter made history by achieving her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Please Please Please". The song ascended from number two in its second week, while her previous hit "Espresso" remained strong at number four (having peaked at number three earlier this year).

Carpenter took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting screenshots of the chart rankings alongside a playful message, "I'm a grateful grateful grateful girl." She also expressed gratitude to her collaborators, including producer Jack Antonoff, co-writer Amy Allen and engineer Laura Sisk.

Her triumph was made sweeter by a resurfaced quote from an X (formerly Twitter) troll who had criticized "Please Please Please" as a disappointing second single. Carpenter's witty response, "ohhhh," hinted at the troll's ill-informed prediction.

Celebrating her first No. 1, Carpenter posted on Instagram, "MY FIRST #1 on the @billboard HOT 100!!!!!!! And espresso at #4.. I'm very immensely grateful so i will surely always remember this day for the rest of my life!"

"@jackantonoff @amyallen i deeply love this song and i love you both!!!!! I love our pitchy claps!!!!! I love @sharp_stick !!!! good things come in three's," she added. "thank you everyone who's listened and made it so much fun to have these songs out in the world. more to come soon."

The Billboard Global 200 also showcased Carpenter's dominance, with "Please Please Please" and "Espresso" occupying the top two spots. On Instagram Stories, she simply exclaimed "Motherf**ker!!!!!!" to celebrate.

"Please Please Please" and "Espresso" are the first singles from Carpenter's upcoming album "Short n' Sweet", which is set for release on August 23. To celebrate her success, she has added additional dates to her "Short n' Sweet Tour", which kicks off in September.

Despite facing criticism in the past, Carpenter's latest achievement is a testament to her talent and the unwavering support of her fans. As she continues to soar to new heights, it's clear that the future holds even more success for the 25-year-old pop star.
