Despite being told to make drastic changes to the track 'the day before the album is out,' the 'Girls in the Hood' raptress declares that she is 'grateful.'

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion has faced some struggles while gearing up for the release of her new album. The "Girls in the Hood" raptress revealed that she was told to make drastic changes to one of the songs "the day before the album is out."

Recently, the 29-year-old hip-hop artist shared an update on her upcoming record titled "MEGAN". During what appeared to be an Instagram Live, she told her viewers that she was forced to change lyrics of one song last minute ahead of the album release.

On Wednesday, June 26, a video from the livestream was uploaded by a blog on Instagram. In the short clip, Megan said, "Y'all know I told y'all I got an anime sample on my album. This probably has been like the hardest song to try to have in my album. But like I said, I'm not complaining 'cause I'm grateful. Thank you so much."

"Now, I recorded the song before I asked for clearance," Megan explained. "So when I sent the people the song, they were like, 'Okay, you gotta change some words.' This is a while back. I said, 'Okay, cool. I changed some words.' " She went on to note that she is not allowed to "cosplay any of the characters on the show" if she is going to make a music video for the song.

The "Hiss" rapper recounted, " 'Alright, cool. I ain't gonna do it. I will follow the rules. I ain't gonna do it 'cause I want this song real bad.' So, y'all gotta know, last night we got an email. They said, 'Actually, I need you to take out the names of the characters that's on the show,' " before screaming out loud.

Megan then shouted, "What?! Take out the names of the characters that's on the show? That's the whole song." She stressed, "That makes the song make sense," adding, "Y'all, the album turned in and they told me last night."

The "Boa" spitter further shared that she eventually went to a studio to "change the names." Near the end of the clip, she stated, "I really hope y'all think this sounds fire. 'Cause I had to jump to 8 millions hoops to get this s**t." She also emphasized that she is "grateful" despite the production company giving her "a hard time."

Megan is set to launch her third studio album on Friday, June 28. "MEGAN" is expected to feature a number of songs, including those titled "Hiss" and "Boa" that she has previously dropped.
