The 'SexyBack' singer reportedly was in 'great spirits' when he spoke during a long conference call in the hours after his arrest to assure his crew members that his tour would go on as scheduled.

AceShowbiz - Justin Timberlake has been praised by his crew members for how he handles the situation following his DWI arrest. The singer reportedly had a long conference call with his tour crew in the hours following his shocking arrest to apologize for the incident.

A so-called insider tells The Sun that Justin's tour crew were worried about the future of his "Forget Tomorrow World Tour" and the incident "wasn't the best thing to happen." However, the Grammy winner quickly put an ease on his crew members as he is described as a "very solid leader," impressing everyone by fronting up and "owning" the situation.

"He made sure that this arrest didn't create tension in the crew, he reacted like a boss, like someone who owns his s**t," the source says. "He said sorry for bringing this kind of attention to the team. Everyone was happy to hear what he said."

Corroborating the story, one of Justin's tour coordinators says crew members found out about the arrest just hours after the incident. They feared the tour would be canceled, but "we were quickly told nothing was going to change," the second insider shares.

The second source says that Justin was in "great spirits" and told everyone "with a big smile that he was sorry" before admitting "he shouldn't have done that." The tour coordinator adds, "We are 110% motivated to put everything behind us and put on some fantastic shows," before defending the star, "He is a responsible guy who made a mistake."

Meanwhile, Justin's wife Jessica Biel is reportedly "upset" and "shocked" following her husband's arrest. "Jessica is extremely upset. She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working," an insider tells Us Weekly. "She was really worried about him."

To his wife, the former NSYNC member reportedly has insisted that "he was barely drinking." The so-called insider claims, "She always gives Justin the benefit of the doubt."

Justin, who was "taking a quick break" from his world tour by gathering with his friends on the night of the incident, reportedly didn't drink that much. "Justin was at dinner with friends and ... [and he] wanted to enjoy some down time and have fun," another source shares. "He and his friends didn't even really drink that much so they were shocked he was pulled over."

The source adds that the 43-year-old star has not really "been drinking" while touring, noting, "[He's] been really healthy with the ongoing tour."

Justin's lawyer Ed Burke has said in a statement following the Tuesday (June 18) arrest, "[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. We will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA's office."
