The 'Dancing with a Stranger' songstress is supported by a number of fans after liking a shady social media post about her former fellow Fifth Harmony singer.

AceShowbiz - Normani Kordei has liked a shady post about Camila Cabello. Despite being met with backlash for liking the post, the "Dancing with a Stranger" songstress was defended by a number of social media users.

On Wednesday, June 19, several fans quickly came to Normani's defense on Instagram. In the comments section of a new post, one in particular wrote, "She probably didn't even see it. We all like s**t and don't fully read sometimes," adding a crying face emoji.

Another suggested, "Ok but she liked it because it was a review of HER album, not because of the shady comment. the reviewer is the one in the wrong here, not Normani." Similarly, a third assumed, "Why can't she like a post about her album? Doesn't mean she agrees with the shady comment."

In contrast, other users believed that Normani intentionally liked the shady post about Camila. One of them penned, "It's the fact that she hasn't liked that many other posts praising her album, but chose this one. She knows what she's doing and it's weird behavior considering Camila has supported her publicly for years."

Another chimed in, "Normani needs the controversy to sell this album that's going to go double aluminum foil." Meanwhile, a third called Normani's move "so unnecessary" and told the 28-year-old singer to promote "your album instead."

The post, which Normani liked, featured a screenshot of text exchanges between two Teen Vogue editors. One of the editors asked the other to share their "thoughts" on Normani's debut solo album "Dopamine". In response, they replied, "It reminded me of 2005 R&B in the best way! I feel like 2005 was such a good time for R&B and it brought me back to that era."

"The Still Tippin sample in 'Still' was iconic," they continued. "That's how you use a sample properly (sorry to Camila Cabello and her Gucci Mane 'Lemonade' sample lol). I think the whole album is super cohesive and such a great way to reintroduce herself into her new era...it was so worth the wait!"

Recently, Normani and Camila, the two former Fifth Harmony singers, publicly supported each other. Camila first congratulated Normani by writing, "Putting out a project is vulnerable and hard and you are doing it beautifully! Congratulations on your first album and many more to come!" In return, Normani said, "Thank you so much for this. This seriously means a lot and so v proud of you. You're next, let's goooo."
