Verzuz, the cultural phenomenon started by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, has found a new home on Elon Musk's X, promising a global reach and exciting new battles for music lovers worldwide.

AceShowbiz - Verzuz, the online music battle platform launched in 2020 by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, has announced a significant partnership with Elon Musk's social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

Under the new deal, X will receive exclusive distribution rights for Verzuz while the platform's founders retain full ownership and creative control. This will expand Verzuz's viewership to an audience of over 550 million active users.

Verzuz was initially launched as a way to connect music fans during the pandemic, pitting artists against each other in hip-hop and DJ battles. Over time, it has hosted memorable matchups featuring stars such as Alicia Keys, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, and Patti LaBelle.

The platform had previously been acquired by Triller but became entangled in legal disputes. Swizz and Timbaland subsequently regained full control of Verzuz.

The partnership with X will allow Verzuz to broadcast for free and reach a broader global audience. The next Verzuz battle is expected to be announced soon.
