Sharing her experience on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, Hubbard discussed the financial and emotional turmoil stemming from the last-minute cancellation. "I told them that I was absolutely not figuring out the fallout of the wedding," she stated firmly, indicating that she had asked the wedding planners to direct all communications to Carl.
Lindsay revealed the staggering costs, noting that she lost between $25,000 to $30,000 in deposits. Carl, who had called off the wedding, was left to handle the significant cancellation fees that increased as the wedding date neared. "The longer you wait with the hotel and the rooms, the less money you get back if you cancel the wedding," Hubbard explained. Faced with legal battles, Lindsay expressed her desire for Carl to reimburse her losses, "Yeah, we dealt with a lot of ... There was a lot of lawyer discussions."
The dramatic breakup was captured in the recent Season 8 finale of "Summer House". The couple's tumultuous relationship, marked by frequent arguments and hurtful exchanges, culminated in a breakup conversation that left Lindsay blindsided. Despite Carl's claims about the disconnect in their relationship and his feelings of being belittled by Lindsay, she expressed a different perspective. "As we put everything on the table, I saw the red flags that I had been ignoring, out of love, and maybe out of the [desire for a] fairytale," she shared in an interview with Glamour.

"I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead," she confided.
