In addition to the three Detroit music icons, Jack White, Common, Fantasia and some 'surprise guests' will perform at the sold-out reopening concert for Michigan Central on June 6, live-streamed exclusively on Peacock.

AceShowbiz - This week, the iconic Michigan Central Station in Detroit will be buzzing with the sounds of music as "Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central" takes the stage. Executive produced by Detroit native and rap legend Eminem, the star-studded outdoor music event will headline performances by Diana Ross, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, Jack White, Common, Fantasia, the Clark Sisters, Kierra Sheard, Illa J, Melissa Etheridge, Theo Parrish, Slum Village and Sky Jetta. Special "surprise guests" are also expected to grace the stage.
The grand reopening of Michigan Central, following a six-year restoration by Ford Motor Company, will be celebrated with performances by some of music's biggest stars. Bill Ford, executive chair of Ford, expressed his excitement for the event, saying, "We wanted to celebrate the reopening of Michigan Central Station in style and make it a night to remember for Detroiters and people watching around the world."
The Michigan Central concert aims to "bring to life the spirit and soul of Detroit" with an impressive lineup of musical performances, short films and appearances by local leaders and creators, "telling stories of innovation and culture from around the city and the region." The star-studded program will also include "cultural legends" and presenters such as Mike Epps, Sophia Bush, Detroit Lions icon Barry Sanders, and NFL stars Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The sold-out event will take place in person on Thursday, June 6, and will stream exclusively on Peacock at 8:30 P.M. ET. NBC will also air a one-hour primetime special on Sunday, June 9, starting at 7 P.M. ET/PT. Mayor Mike Duggan praised the event, saying, "Detroit is known around the world for its musical talent, and having so many legendary artists kick off the celebration for the reopening of the iconic Michigan Central Station shows how meaningful this moment is for our city."
