The country crooner filed a lawsuit against his ex on Friday, May 17, asking a judge to force his former spouse to take down an Instagram post that is 'incredibly damaging' to him.

AceShowbiz - It didn't take long for Zac Brown to get his request granted by a judge. Just one day after filing a lawsuit against his estranged wife Kelly Yazdi, the country crooner got a restraining order against her.

For the record, Zac filed his complaint on Friday, May 17. In the docs obtained by TMZ, he asked a judge to force his former spouse to take down an Instagram post that is "incredibly damaging" to him. The post is deemed as violating the confidentiality agreements she signed with him during her employment with the Zac Brown Band from August 2022 to February 2024.

It remains unclear which post that Zac pointed out. However, the artist insisted that the judge should block her from making false, defamatory or otherwise harmful statements. He also sought emergency injunctive relief in the form of a temporary restraining order that'll make her take down the Instagram post swiftly.

In a statement to NBC, the musician said he ""took the steps necessary to enforce an agreement between us to maintain personal and business affairs in confidence and to protect my family from online harassment and speculation." He added that his "only hope is for us to keep private matters private and to move forward with the mutual respect we had agreed to show one another when we parted ways."

Zac confirmed his separation from Kelly in December 2023. "We are in the process of divorce," he told TMZ at the time, noting that their "mutual respect for one another remains."

"We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together," the country cooner further declared. "As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time."

Zac and Kelly ended their marriage four months after their wedding. It was reported that the two tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony, which took place in Coweta County, Georgia, on August 31. The nuptials were held more than one year following their alleged engagement.
