In a recent Instagram post, Kelly Yazdi, estranged wife of country singer Zac Brown, responded to her husband's attempt to silence her through a restraining order.

AceShowbiz - Zac Brown estranged wife Kelly Yazdi has responded to her husband's attempt to silence her through a restraining order. The Wild Ride founder slammed the country singer in a June 4 Instagram post.

In the post, Kelly said, "Zac's response to having his motion summarily denied was to issue a press release doubling-down on his defamatory attacks on me, accusing me of using the lawsuit he filed against me as an ad hoc press release, and vowing to press his meritless lawsuit forward."

"Because it appears, for now, that Zac intends to do just that, it is important to know that I am not a willing participant in that agenda," she continued. "Indeed, I have issued no press release on the circumstances of our pending divorce-only Zac has done so."

The 33-year-old further claimed that she has not used her "limited platform to defame or humiliate Zac," nor has she initiated a lawsuit of her own against the musician, who she broke up with in December after just four months of marriage.

"Nevertheless, it remains my hope that we can resolve our separation and eventual divorce like adults, in private, and with respect for each other," Kelly continued. "But, I will not be threatened or intimidated into submission-if Zac continues to pursue his ill-fated quest for a court injunction to silence me, or again publicly defames me or accuses me of dishonesty, I will meet him in court fully loaded with the truth about what has happened over the course of our relationship."

On May 17, Zac filed a lawsuit against Kelly, alleging that she violated a confidentiality agreement by posting an Instagram poem about their broken relationship. He sought an emergency restraining order to remove the post and prevent Kelly from making defamatory statements.

She denied breaking the agreement and stated that she declined to issue a press release about the divorce, while Zac had. She also accused Zac of publicly defaming her and attempting to use the lawsuit as a platform for his own agenda.

Later on May 24, a federal district court judge denied Zac's request for a gag order. In response, Zac issued a press release reiterating his stance and vowing to continue his lawsuit.

Kelly stated that she remains hopeful that the courts will protect her right to free expression, even in the face of Brown's wealth and celebrity. She requested privacy as the couple navigates their divorce and expressed a desire for an apology from Zac.
