This Is Why Peter Kraus Refrains From Reaching Out to Ex Rachel Lindsay After Bryan Abasolo Split

The personal trainer, who was the frontrunner and fan favorite in Rachel's season of 'The Bachelorette', weighs in on his ex's divorce weeks after Bryan confirmed that they're divorcing.

AceShowbiz - Peter Kraus almost reached out to his ex Rachel Lindsay following her split from Bryan Abasolo. However, "The Bachelorette" alum refrained from doing so because of some reasons.

"If she reached out and asked for coffee, yes, I would love to hear how life has been. I would love to know what you've been up to, all of these amazing experiences I know you've been through," the 37-year-old said when speaking on "She's All Bach" podcast. "We had great conversations when we were talking, so it would be great to talk to her again."

"I haven't reached out, I thought about reaching out as a support system being like, 'We went through this experience together.' We're forever connected in that way, whether it's for the good, or the bad," he added. "But realized that wasn't my place... I'm not a part of her life anymore. She's not a part of my life anymore. If it was meant to be, it would've been then."

Peter was the frontrunner and fan favorite in Rachel's season of "The Bachelorette". He made it to the finals along with Bryan. Although had such deep feelings for him, the personal trainer was not ready to propose to her so she ended up with Bryan instead.

Bryan confirmed his split from Rachel on January 2. "If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family," the 43-year-old began his Instagram post at the time. "Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far."

"After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew," he continued. "My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go."

Rachel, for her part, addressed the separation when speaking on her "Higher Learning" podcast alongside her co-host Van Lathan. "Obviously it's a difficult time, if you've read the headlines, and you're probably wondering why I would even work," se said. "But to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love 'Higher Learning.' "
