The chiropractor, who confirmed his split from the attorney on January 2, checks an Instagram user who comments that it's 'not good for marriage to be across the country from each other.

AceShowbiz - Rachel Lindsay's estranged husband Bryan Abasolo insisted that their split was not her fault. "The Bachelorette" alum has shut down a fan for assuming that the couple is heading for divorce because the attorney was putting her career before marriage.

The 43-year-old set the record straight after an Instagram user commented on pictures of himself shared on Monday, January 29. "Nature's clock is set by the Sun; take a moment to synchronize and let the sunshine guide your rhythm!" he captioned it.

The said individual then wrote in the comment section, "Not good for marriage to be across the country from each other." The person added, "She put her new found career before her marriage. Been married 36 years, sacrifice is a part of it."

Catching wind of the remark, Bryan clarified, "To be fair, we've been living together for almost 3 years here in LA. Not sure why people think we've been apart this entire time." He added, "Yes, her career came first, but there were opportunities for her that were smart for her to take which could have not been offered later. It's hard as it is for women of color to get big gigs which I've observed through watching Rachel's efforts."

Bryan went on to note that he "didn't have anything lined up" in Los Angeles, so he "opened up a new business" when they relocated to California. "It's not just women who should be expected to sacrifice, but a man can do it too. Her building her future was not the problem," he elaborated. "I would encourage anyone to pursue their dreams and hope they have a healthy support system to do so."

Bryan confirmed his split from Rachel on January 2. "If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family," the 43-year-old began his Instagram post at the time. "Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far."

"After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew," he continued. "My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go."

Rachel, for her part, addressed the separation when speaking on her "Higher Learning" podcast alongside her co-host Van Lathan. "Obviously it's a difficult time, if you've read the headlines, and you're probably wondering why I would even work," she said. "But to be honest with you I need to distract myself from myself and the best way to do that is to do something that I love and I love 'Higher Learning.' "
