In the first episode of season 20 premiere of the long-running ABC show, things already get rough for Charity as she makes a controversial decision when it comes to First Impression Rose.

AceShowbiz - Charity Lawson's love journey officially started in "The Bachelorette" season 20 premiere on Monday, June 26. Things already got rough for Charity as she made a controversial decision when it came to First Impression Rose.

First arriving was Aaron B, who told her that her sparkles matched her eyes. Meanwhile, Josh told the leading lady that he believed his heart was full of promise and warmth to protect her. As for tennis pro Joey, he brought her a flower from Hawaii to wear in her ear.

Construction manager Warwick revealed that his parents met on a flight, so he brought her a one way ticket to his hometown. Other men included Xavier, who is finishing his degree in biochemistry and science, family doctor Caleb, tech recruiter Khalid, HR executive Nick, commercial driver John Henry and firefighter Aaron S.

After mortgage lender Tanner and world record jumper Chris greeted Charity, travel nurse Brayden came out with a tequila. The rest of the men had arrived, but host Jesse Palmer told Charity that another limo was coming with her brother Nehemiah getting off from it. Charity said Nehemiah's like her best friend and she's happy he's there with her. Nehemiah would be putting on a disguise as he pretended to be the bartender.

Later that night, Charity spent time with some of the suitors as she wanted to get to know them better. She talked with John, with whom she shared a kiss. She also had some time alone with Spencer, who admitted to her that he has a son. Despite his fear, Charity took it well.

Aaron B., meanwhile, tried to impress Charity by playing piano and singing a poem to her. It worked because they kissed. Brayden and Charity hit it off right away and they also kissed. Brayden later went to the bar and told Nehemiah that Charity's such a good kisser. Everyone was shocked when Nehemiah revealed his identity to the men.

Nehemiah then told Charity that he disguised himself as a bartender and listened to all the men's conversations all night. He said Aaron B. was very authentic, while noting that Brayden was problematic due to his arrogance. Brayden appeared to be confident that he would get the First Impression Rose from Charity.

Charity then asked Brayden to speak with her in private. She mentioned that he was overconfident and said that she asked for space before walking away. Charity, however, still thought that she felt a strong connection with Brayden and wanted to give him the First Impression Rose.

At the cocktail party, Charity presented Brayden with the first impression rose despite her brother's warning. "I'm feeling super happy about him," Charity gushed. "My brother's intel was extremely insightful. Brayden has every right to feel confident because I want someone who's here for me, someone who's excited about me and someone who doesn't have a problem making that known."

She then gave the other roses to Aaron B., then John, Caleb B., Warwick, Aaron S., Caleb A., Adrian, James, Sean, Michael, Tanner, Dotun, Kaleb K., John Henry, Josh and Spencer.
