AceShowbiz - Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams is returning to the small screen soon. On Tuesday, May 7, Jenna made use of her Instagram account to share a photo from "Wednesday" filming set to announce that the production had officially started.

In the snap, Jenna could be seen sitting in her actor chair. The "Scream VI" actress was in character as she's donning Wednesday's signature costume. Her long black hair was also braided in two parts. "We've begun season two. @wednesdaynetflix," so she captioned the post.

Fans expressed excitement in the comments section. "I'm so excited for Wednesday season 2," one wrote. Another raved, "Good luck with season two @jennaortega you’re gonna do incredible as always bebesita."

Another hyped fan penned, "Can't wait super excited to see your work incredible as always." However, one fan appeared to be disappointed that Xavier Thorpe, portrayed by Percy Hynes White in season 1, won't return in the upcoming sophomore season. "Where's Xavier?? We need Xavier!!" the fan demanded.

Percy confirmed his exit from "Wednesday" on the same day. In Instagram Stories, the Canadian actor wrote alongside a photo of him with other cast members, "I had so much fun working on this show." He added, "I can't wait to watch season 2:) Much love."

Percy's departure arrived more than a year after he was accused of sexual assault last year. A Twitter account named LadySwampWitch accused the actor of assaulting her and several women at a party he hosted in Toronto. The account also claimed that it was a recurring theme with him.

Denying the allegations, Percy slammed the "false" rumors on Instagram in June 2023. "I can accept the portrayal of me as someone bigoted, or criminally negligent of people's safety," he said at the time. "These are the kind of baseless, harmful claims that can create mistrust toward victims. It's very distressing to know that this misinformation has upset people."

He continued, "I'm really thankful for everyone who's stood by me and helped share the facts. Harassment of my family, friends and coworkers needs to stop please. Thank you for taking the time to read this."
