The 'You Need to Calm Down' hitmaker has made generous cash donation to provide direct relief for the workers at the Nashville record store that's closed amid the global pandemic.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has offered to cover the salaries of the employees at a beloved Nashville, Tennessee record store which has been forced to close during the coronavirus lockdown.

The "Shake It Off" hitmaker has pledged to give bosses at Grimey's New & Preloved Music funding to pay the wages and medical coverage for three workers for the next three months.

"Taylor generously offered some direct relief to my staff and to cover three months of our health care costs for our group-insurance plan," Grimey's co-owner Doyle Davis tells Rolling Stone. "It's a huge deal to us, and now I have some peace of mind as we apply for (Small Business Association) loans to pay rent, vendors, and other expenses. This assistance from Ms. Swift helps give us a real shot at coming back on the other side of this."

Swift also came through for fans left unemployed by the coronavirus shut down last month, March 2020.

One beneficiary of a $3,000 cheque from Taylor was Holly Turner, who took to Tumblr and confessed she was worried about losing her home in New York. She later attached a screenshot of a notification that $3,000 had been received from Taylor Nation, LLC, alongside the message, "Holly, You've always been there for me. I want to be there for you now. I hope this helps. Love, Taylor."
