The actress reportedly has been discharged from a California hospital after being placed on a three-day hold.

AceShowbiz - Actress Heather Locklear has reportedly been discharged from a California hospital after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

The embattled star's parents called emergency services to her Thousand Oaks home on Sunday, June 17, after the former "Dynasty" castmember allegedly threatened to find a gun and shoot herself.

Officials from both the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff's Departments responded to the call, but Locklear was not armed, and as a result, the case was simply treated as a medical incident.

Reports suggest she was placed on a three-day hold, but has since been released.

Locklear has been in and out of headlines in recent months - she was charged with four counts of misdemeanour battery on an officer and one misdemeanour count of resisting or obstructing an officer following an altercation in February, when she reportedly attacked cops who intervened in a fight between Heather and her boyfriend, Chris Heisser.

She is said to have subsequently entered a rehabilitation facility in a bid to tackle her history of substance abuse issues.

The news of her hospital release emerges as the 56-year-old's ex-fiance and "Melrose Place" co-star, Jack Wagner, expressed his concern for the actress' personal troubles.

"Listen, we all have our struggles and our issues. There's no one that can say we don't," he told news show "Extra" on Wednesday, June 20. "So Heather's in my prayers. I love her and her family and I just hope that she can really dig in and turn her life around. I love her to death and I just pray for the best for her and her family."

Locklear and Wagner split in 2011 after dating for four years.

She was previously married to rockers Tommy Lee and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, the father of her daughter Ava, 20.
