The 'You Make Me Wanna...' hitmaker is left apologetic but appreciates his son Naviyd's creativity after the teen stole his phone so he could DM his favorite artist.

AceShowbiz - Usher's son is making use of the singer's influence for his own benefits. Knowing how big a star his father is, Naviyd hijacked the Grammy winner's phone to message his favorite artist, PinkPantheress.
It's the "U Got It Bad" hitmaker himself who revealed his son's dirty little trick to get the English singer's attention. Taking to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 24, he began his storytelling as writing, "So...a week or so ago my son, Naviyd, stole my phone so he could dm his favorite artist @pinkpantheress."
Usher included a screenshot of the cute interaction between his son and PinkPantheress. "Hello this is Usher's son Naviyd I'm you true biggest fan please follow me back…I put him on to masterpieces," so the 15-year-old wrote in the DM.
"hahahahahaa,this is wild!" PinkPantheress replied, much to Naviyd's's surprise. "OMG I DIDNT THING U WERE GONNA SNWER [sic]. Thank you for liking my posttt," he wrote back.
The next message was from Usher, who wrote, "I'm so sorry … my son is a super fan," as he realized his son had been using his phone to message PinkPantheress. She replied, "Don't apologise! Happy to have this interaction. I'd love to host y'all at the next show."
"That would be the greatest surprise … we love what you are doing … he absolutely love you," Usher gushed. In the next Story, he told his followers, "Now I just so happened to check my DMs earlier this past week and saw a message exchange from someone with a Powerpuff girl as their profile pic...so I'm like the hell is this."
"U can clearly see where I apologized for my son's excitement. But still @pinkpantheress was so sweet to invite us to her show...," he explained. He then sent his son to PinkPantheress' show and gave her a heads-up beforehand.
"My son is at you show tonight. I had to send him considering his level of dedication and creativity … to figure out getting your attention through stealing my phone... that's commitment. Hopefully you guys get to link," he wrote to the "Just for Me" singer, who replied, "Ofc!!"
Usher then shared a picture of his son and the teen's favorite artist posing together backstage. He also had a video call with the 23-year-old singer, seemingly facilitated by his son. "This was a great moment for Naviyd … this was him movin on something he was passionate about," the R&B crooner shared.
Sharing his parental takeaway, he continued to pen, "Yes… he violated my trust in the process and for that I will never trust him around my phone, but I should have known better." He added, "Nonetheless, I appreciate the hustle and him makin in happen. From a text, to a concert, to the artist. He masterminded this whole thing and made it happen. #HustleHard."
Naviyd himself took to his Instagram page to share photos and videos of his fun interaction with PinkPantheress backstage at her show. He wrote in the caption, "to hell with it."
