AceShowbiz - Sam Smith may have found themself a new boyfriend following their split from boyfriend Christian Cowan last year. The English singer/songwriter, who uses they/them pronouns, was spotted getting cozy with a mystery man during a beach outing in Miami.
Sam and their mystery companion hit the beach on Friday, April 26. During their flirty outing, the "Lay Me Down" singer was photogprahed giving their alleged new boyfriend a piggy-back ride in the ocean. The mystery man appeared to enjoy it as he flashed a smile while clinging to Sam's neck.
The pair seemed to have a blast as they were later joined by more friends. The group greeted one another on the beach, sharing hugs and kisses with Sam's mystery man holding a drink in his hand.
During the beach outing, both Sam and their mystery man flaunted their bodies in Speedos. The 31-year-old singer opted for a pair of red swim briefs, while their male companion rocked a black one.
Sam has been single following their split from Christian in late 2024. After first being linked in January 2023, Sam and Christian were last pictured together at a party in New York on December 14 and had also been snapped in London and Paris.
A source told MailOnline in January, "Sam and Christian decided to end their relationship before Christmas. They're still friends and will continue to support each other in their respective careers but for now they have separated."
Following their split, the Grammy winner reportedly returned to dating application Raya in the hope of meeting someone one. "Sam has signed back up to dating app Raya and is already connecting with new people... it's a new year and fresh start for them," the source spilled.
Sam previously detailed their experience using Raya during the coronavirus lockdown. Speaking on SiriusXM in 2020, they said, "I think I want to be with someone older now. I need someone who has passions and has their own drive. It's nice to be able to date on your phone. I haven't done it in years - I just want the romance."
