While a diss track is not a common nominee for the prestigious award, 'Not Like Us' has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold well more than 1 million units.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Kendrick Lamar will score another Grammy Awards nomination. According to Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., the rapper's diss track for Drake, "Not Like Us" is eligible for a Grammy nod.

"Obviously, it's a hot record. It's amazing artistry," the 56-year-old told TMZ. "You got an artist [who has] been nominated before, and [Kendrick] has obviously been successful with the organization. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be."

While a diss track is not a common nominee for the prestigious award, "Not Like Us" has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold well more than 1 million units. Of the song, Harvey said, "I think the voting members of the academy appreciate greatness."

Produced by DJ Mustard, "Not Like Us" sees K-Dot accusing Drake of being a "certified pedophile." The 37-year-old rapper/songwriter rhymes, "Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young/ You better not ever go to cell block one."

"Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles/ Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, Dot, f**k 'em up/ Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I'ma do my stuff," he continues. "Why you trollin' like a b***h? Ain't you tired?/ Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A-Minor."

An official music video for the tune is coming soon as Kendrick filmed its MV in Compton recently, gathering a huge crowd on the streets. Sources previously told TMZ that "Kendrick's team got all the proper permits needed to pull off the project and the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. will send deputies for extra security during the music [video] shoot." However, the insiders did not unveil "how many deputies have been tapped for the gig."

On June 19, Kendrick delivered the song five times to close out "The Pop Out - Ken and Friends" concert in L.A. He also performed live debuts of tracks like "Euphoria" and his verse on the Billboard Hot 100-topper "Like That".
