Rhaenyra was surprised when she learned of the death of King Aegon II's (Tom Glynn-Carney) young son Lucerys. She denied planning to kill Lucerys before she realized that Daemon might have something to do with the death.

To avenge the death of Lucerys, Criston Cole's identical knights Arryk and Erryk Cargyll (Luke Tittensor and Elliot Tittensor). Arryk disguised himself as his brother and sneaked over to Dragonstone to murder Rhaenyra, but things went wrong when Erryk recognized him. The brothers, who were loyal to their Queens, got into a fight. Feeling guilty for killing his own brother, Erryk apologized to Queen Rhaenyra before he killed himself.
