The Mantis depicter in the 'GOTG' film series reveals her desire to play a specific character in the DC Universe after working with Gunn in the Marvel movies.

AceShowbiz - Pom Klementieff, known for her role as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Guardians of the Galaxy", has hinted at a potential transition to the DC Universe. During an appearance at San Antonio's Superhero Comic Con, she disclosed that she has been in discussions with DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn about joining the DCU.

When asked who she would like to portray in the rebooted cinematic universe, Klementieff remained coy. However, she expressed her desire to continue collaborating with Gunn, whom she first worked with on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

"We've been talking about one specific character, but I can't talk about that right now," she said.

While Klementieff's future in the MCU remains uncertain, she has previously expressed openness to reprising her role as Mantis. However, she emphasized that her decision would depend on the project.

Despite not officially joining the DCU, Klementieff has made an uncredited cameo in Gunn's "The Suicide Squad" (2021). Since taking over DC Studios in 2022, Gunn has been working on the upcoming "Superman", which will launch a new DC multiverse.

Gunn has expressed his willingness to cast MCU actors in his DCU projects. In an interview with Empire, he stated that a crossover between the two comic book worlds is "more likely now that I'm in charge." However, he also emphasized the need to establish the DCU first.

Klementieff has a long-standing dream of being part of a superhero franchise. She expressed her admiration for the "X-Men" and her joy at being cast in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films.

James Gunn has been enthusiastic about finding a role for Klementieff in the DCU. He has described her as one of his "favorite actors to work with." Rumors of her involvement in the Superman movie have been debunked, but Gunn has confirmed that he has a specific character in mind for her.

The character that Klementieff and Gunn have been discussing remains a mystery. Given Klementieff's background in action-oriented roles, it is likely that the character will involve physicality.
