Having been suspended one year following his positive tests for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine, the professional boxer declared that he would come back.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Garcia is not giving up boxing completely after all. Having been suspended for one year after he reached a settlement with the New York State Athletic Commission following his positive tests for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine, the professional boxer declared that he will come back.

"It's okay I'm retired I'll come back in a year, " the 25-year-old penned on X, formerly Twitter. "I was already retired so I'll just come back out of retirement for a year."

The suspension meant that Ryan would lose his victory over Devin Haney, with the April fight officially becoming a no contest. He is also instructed to forfeit his $1.1 million contract purse and pay a $10,000 fine, the state maximum.

Reacting to the news, Devin told ESPN, "I want to thank the commission and the fans who stood by me during this whole process." He added, "The facts are the facts, and I wasn't on an even playing field. Happy I was able to receive justice for what happened. It's all part of my story and it's only going to make me better. I look to enjoy this time with my family and friends and see what's next.

"I'm a clean athlete and boxing is a brutal sport where one fight can literally change your life," Devin continued. "I think it important for fighters to be clean and I want to become an advocate for clean athletes for my experience in this situation."

Prior to the suspension, Ryan launched an online tirade in a series of tweets. "Mom has cancer. I'm being sued. My supplements were tainted. Going thru a divorce. Always GETTING S**T TALKED on the internet FOR YEARS," the he penned on Wednesday, June 19. "Devin asking for my victory to be taken away. I'm getting hit with everything. I STILL LOVE GOD, HE IS EVERYTHING."

"Yall judge me on the things I say. For example Caleb plant situation. He talked about me when J never talked about him," he added. "While I'm going thru a really hard time in my life. I'm human I'm not God I will make mistakes. I've really only tried to put money in everyone's pockets live everyone and make everyone laugh. I LOVE GOD WITH ALL MY HEART REGARDLESS WHAT EVERYONE THINKS."

In a separate post, Ryan fumed, "Boxing will be alright without me. But still sucks I was fun in the game. And it was fun to punch people." He continued arguing, "Yall may catch me out and about but as far as boxing I don't know."
