The music legend, who is also famous as 'the Piano Man,' has shared his thoughts on the fellow singer's recent arrest for driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor.

AceShowbiz - Hours after Justin Timberlake's arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, Billy Joel was spotted having dinner at the American Hotel, where the singer had been seen earlier. Speaking to reporters outside the establishment, Joel cautioned against making judgments. "Judge not lest ye be judged," he said, adding that he didn't know much about the situation.

According to court documents, Timberlake was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to keep right. Police reported that he performed poorly on field sobriety tests and allegedly had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol, and spoke with slowed speech.

Timberlake claimed to the officer that he had only had "one martini" but refused to take a breathalyzer test. He was arrested and later released on his own recognizance.

When asked if he frequented the American Hotel, Joel replied, "When I'm here, yeah." The hotel is a short walk from his home in Sag Harbor.

Joel is no stranger to legal issues himself. In 1992, he and a commercial fisherman were arrested for illegally catching striped bass during a protest. The charges were later dismissed. Joel also crashed his car into a tree in Sag Harbor in 2003 but was never charged.

Timberlake's arrest is just one in a series of incidents involving celebrities in the Hamptons. Joel's comments serve as a reminder that even the most successful people can make mistakes.
