Rumer, 35, welcomed her first child, Louetta, with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas last year. In a recent interview on "Today", she gushed about her father's transformation into a "girl dad."
"He's so good with her. I saw him with my sisters, my little sisters," Rumer shared. "Honestly, seeing them with her, it almost unlocks all of these childhood memories."
Rumer explained that Bruce, 69, has a natural ability to connect with his granddaughter. "He's a girl dad, through and through," she said. "It almost unlocks that kind of little kid, girl dad thing. He's so sweet with her."
Amid his ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia, Bruce Willis has received immense support from his family, including his ex-wife Demi Moore. "They have all of the love and joy without any of the responsibilities. They get to just spoil her," Rumer said, describing her parents' relationship with Lou.
Bruce Willis' family announced his Aphasia diagnosis in March 2022, which was later updated to frontotemporal dementia in February 2023. Despite his condition, the family remains close-knit and focused on providing him with love and support.
"He's so good. I actually got to see him right before I came out," Rumer said, updating on her father's well-being.
Rumer also shared how becoming a mother has positively impacted her abilities as a performer. "It's been teaching me so much about how to stay present with myself and even with performing, how to just, like, stay more grounded in the moment and be able to connect with people," she said.
