The 'Boy's a Liar Pt.1' hitmaker previously said in an interview with ABC News that a song doesn't need to have a bridge and repeated verse, sparking chatter online.

AceShowbiz - PinkPantheress sparked controversy with her recent comments on song structure. The "Boy's a Liar Pt.1" hitmaker's remarks apparently also caught the attention of music icon Dionne Warwick.

In a recent interview with ABC News, PinkPantheress was asked about the reason why her songs are so short. To the question, the "Just For Me" singer explained, "A song doesn't need to be longer than 2 minutes 30 [seconds], in my opinion. We don't need to repeat a verse, we don't need to have a bridge - we don't need it! We don't need a long outro."

As a clip from the sit-down went viral, Dionne caught wind of it. The "That's What a Friends Are For" hitmaker quoted a Pop Crave tweet about the matter, and showed her confusion by simply writing, "?"

Ebro Darden was also among those who reacted to PinkPantheress' take on song structure. "Who is we? I guess your music is only used for social media… elements get repeated cause people only use a certain piece of a song over and over," so he tweeted.

Fans also showed disagreement with PinkPantheress with one saying, "oh we definitely need a bridge." Another wrote, "who's we? We WANT longer songs." Someone else demanded, "this tiktokfication needs to be banned immediately. Nobody wants this."

"Bridges are here to STAY ya hear me!!!" one person stressed. "Can you imagine Bobby Valentino's 'Slow down' without 'Oh baby, you know by now that I want you badddd, I'm floating on thin air I can't come downnn' girlll byeeeee," another noted. One person added, "2 minutes is not even a song. It's a ringtone."

Meanwhile, PinkPantheress has yet to comment on the chatter surrounding her comments. The 23-year-old British pop star is currently on the road for "The Capable of Love" tour.

She recently released her new single titled "Turn It Up". On the track, she sings, "The DJ hit me right there (Right there)/ Said he loved me right there (Right there)/ Shouted 'Shake it' (Shake it)/ I ninety-nine percent can't move my waistline/ Come sit with me, right therе (Right there)/ Maybe kiss mе, right there (Right there)/ I'm not faking/ A good time with you, that's what I want tonight."
