In the legal docs, the 58-year-old slams Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and others for including him in the documentary alongside Brian Peck.

AceShowbiz - Dan Schneider has launched legal action against the producers of the new docuseries "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV". The "Drake & Josh" creator filed a defamation lawsuit against the docuseries creators for falsely portraying him as a child sexual abuser at Nickelodeon and ruining his reputation.

In the legal docs, the 58-year-old slammed Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and others for including him in the documentary alongside Brian Peck. Brian himself was sentenced to 16 months in prison on charges stemming from a child sex abuse case involving Drake Bell.

Dan insisted that he was not complicit in the abuse and "condemned the abuse once it was discovered and, critically, was not a child sexual abuser himself." His lawyers, meanwhile, dubbed the documentary a "hit job" against the producer because it defamed him while pursuing "clickbait, ratings, and views-or simply put, money."

After the filing, Dan said in a statement, "There is no doubt that I was sometimes a bad leader." He added, "I am sincerely apologetic and regretful for that behavior, and I will continue to take accountability for it."

"I have no objection to anyone highlighting my failures as a boss," he continued. "But it is wrong to mislead millions of people to the false conclusion that I was in any way involved in heinous acts like those committed by child predators."

Dan Schneider previously issued an apology after being accused of sexism, racism, and inappropriate workplace behavior in the new documentary "Quiet on Set". In a video posted to his YouTube channel, he acknowledged that he "could see the hurt in some people's eyes" when watching the documentary.

Dan stated that he "definitely owes some people a pretty strong apology," adding that he wishes he could go back in time and "never, ever feel like it was okay to be an a**hole to anyone."

He also responded to the abuse committed by dialogue coach Brian Peck. "I did not hire Brian Peck," he said at the time. "When Drake and I talked and he told me what had happened, I was more devastated by that than anything that ever happened in my career thus far."
