The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star and the former college basketball player reportedly 'started to realize their priorities differed' once 'the honeymoon phase ended.'

AceShowbiz - More details about what allegedly led to Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan's split have been unearthed. The two apparently didn't see eye to eye when it comes to having children and their future goals.

A source tells Daily Mail that the former couple's different priorities played a major factor in the end of their relationship. "They were in love with each other, but once the honeymoon phase ended, they started to realize their priorities differed," the so-called insider claims.

The source goes on dishing, "Their age difference played a major factor in the split, and on top of the fact that Marcus wants to have kids while she wants to be more of a celebrity. They both had different ideas of what their family was going to be like and that built lots of stress."

"They are just on different roads, but they are both to blame for not being together - even though they are blaming each other for the demise," the informant further notes.

When asked if there's a chance of reconciliation between Larsa and Marcus, the source says, "Absolutely - but right now, it is very touch and go and they don't see eye to eye about much." They add, "They need to get back to where they originally started with each other and then it could work, this could be a good test to be away."

Larsa and Marcus sparked breakup rumors after they unfollowed each other on Instagram and scrubbed trace of one another from their respective page. The star of "The Real Housewives of Miami" also created a poll that asked her followers, "Should your friends unfollow your ex?" She additionally shared a video of Morgan Freeman speaking about trusting your "inner voice."

On Monday, the 49-year-old posted a cryptic message, which read, "The man you choose to be your partner affects everything in your life. Your mental health, your peace of mind, your love inside you, your happiness, how you get through tragedies, your successes, how your children will be raised and much more. Choose wisely."

While neither of them has confirmed the separation news, a source told PEOPLE on Monday, "They're not together." They "are taking space from each other" due to the "tension" in their relationship, which was allegedly "incited" by Marcus' dad Michael Jordan's publicly denouncing it. "Marcus said Michael was joking when he said he didn't approve, but it really mortified Larsa," the source elaborated.

Michael's past feud with Larsa's ex-husband Scottie Pippen allegedly also created friction for the couple. In the end, "family comes before everything for both Larsa and Marcus," the source added, before stressing, "At the end of the day, Michael is Marcus' dad and Scottie is the father of Larsa's children. There is a baseline loyalty for each of them that made the relationship difficult to navigate."

Another source close allegedly close to the couple, however, claimed that their split "has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth." The same insider added, "They have decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship."

While Larsa's "RHOM" co-stars were reportedly "surprised" by the split news, Julia Lemigova has weighed in on a possible reason that might have caused the breakup. "Relationships are a hard thing. And we all know Larsa is very jealous," the Bravolebrity said, adding that she was "just speculating" about their breakup on Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast. "I hope, if it's true, she's not too heartbroken because - even though we have our differences - if the breakup is true I feel really, really bad for her because she was really in love."

Citing an incident involving the then-couple at Bravocon in November 2023, the 51-year-old continued, "I mean, how jealous she got when she saw my picture on Marcus' phone? Oh my God, and it was like the most innocent thing." She added, "And it created a wave, so who knows? Maybe she's seen a picture of somebody else?"
