AceShowbiz - Amid the rumored cast shakeup for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 16, two OGs are reportedly set to return. If a new report is to be believed, Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore are among the cast for the new season.
According to The Neighborhood Talk, both stars have been confirmed to join the upcoming season. If it's true, it will mark Porsha's return to the hit Bravo series after her departure from the franchise after season 13. She previously left the show shortly after being engaged to her now-husband Simon Guobadia.
As for Kenya, she starred in season 15 alongside Kandi Burruss, Sheree Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Sanya Richards-Ross and Marlo Hampton. However, it was previously unknown who would return for the next season since the producers were allegedly planning a massive cast shakeup. That's probably why "RHOA" has been on a filming hiatus after concluding its season 15 in September 2023.
The new report came after Kandi announced her exit after 14 seasons. "I decided I'm not coming back this year," the longtime cast member of the hit reality series revealed to Variety while gracing the 2024 Grammys red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4. "It's been 14 seasons."
"They allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I'm super excited about those things," the Xscape singer added.
The star also revealed that her friend made her realize that it was time to take a break from reality TV shows. "It's just like, you know, after you really have time to think, and a friend of mine was like, 'Why do you keep doing it?' And I was like, 'Well, I think because I've just been doing it so long, feels weird to think not to do it?' " she recalled. "So I was just like, 'You know what? I'm going to take a break. I'm going to take a moment. … I'm not coming back this year.' "
