The Bravo personality, who has been starring on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' for 14 consecutive seasons, reveals her exit while attending the 2024 Grammy Awards.

AceShowbiz - Kandi Burruss is letting go of her peach. The Bravo personality revealed while attending the 2024 Grammy Awards that she wouldn't return for the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" after 14 seasons.

"I decided I'm not coming back this year," the longtime cast member of the hit reality series revealed to Variety while gracing the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4. "It's been 14 seasons."

The XScape singer went on sharing, "They allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I'm super excited about those things."

Kandi added a friend's question played a part in her decision to exit the show. "It's just like, you know, after you really have time to think, and a friend of mine was like, 'Why do you keep doing it?' And I was like, 'Well, I think because I've just been doing it so long, feels weird to think not to do it?' " she recalled.

"So I was just like, 'You know what? I'm going to take a break. I'm going to take a moment. … I'm not coming back this year,' " Kandi explained.

After concluding its season 15 in September 2023, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" has been on a filming hiatus. It's also reported that the producers are seeking a cast shakeup. In addition to Kandi, the last season starred Kenya Moore, Sheree Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Sanya Richards-Ross and Marlo Hampton.

Kandi recently criticized Bravo for taking too long to decide when the camera rolls again for season 16 and who will be filming the new season. "They still haven't told everybody who they're bringing back. Yeah, they're over here - they're being real - [they're] trippin'!" she lamented during an Amazon Live segment. "People got lives around here. We gotta make plans for other things."
