The 'Dark Fantasy' songstress, who filed for divorce from Iman months before she confirmed their separation in September 2023, says in an interview that she's 'so grateful' despite going through hard times.

AceShowbiz - Teyana Taylor has turned to God amid her divorce from Iman Shumpert. When making an appearance on "Tamron Hall Show", the singer opened up about trusting God during this hard time.

"You know what I'm so blessed and I'm so grateful, I'm taking my pace," the 33-year-old told host Tamron during the sit-down. "I'm on my faith walk right now and I'm taking wherever God is taking me. This is the year of trust."

When asked what she meant by this year being the year of trust, Teyana elaborated, "You just got to take a beat and say God I trust you." She continued, "That's what it's about so of course more peace more love more blessings."

Teyana filed for divorce from Iman months before she confirmed their separation in September 2023. According to TMZ, the multi-talented star submitted the divorce papers in Georgia in January last year.

In the docs, the artist accused her former spouse of "extreme narcissistic behavior" and being jealous of her fame. She said her ex would feel insecure about being good enough for her, although he was earning way more playing basketball than she could ever dream of making in music.

In new legal docs, the "Dark Fantasy" songstress claimed her estranged husband smoked weed around their young kids and was even under the influence when he was with them.

According to the docs obtained by TMZ, Teyana claimed her Iman "consistently fails to properly care" for their two children, eight-year-old Junie and three-year-old Rue. She also said that the athlete failed to feed them despite being in the family home.
