The 'Everything I Wanted' singer is unrecognizable with blonde hair as she transforms into Barbie in a preview for the music of her new song 'What Was I Made For?'.

AceShowbiz - Billie Eilish is hyping up the anticipation for the upcoming "Barbie" movie and her new song, which is lifted off the movie's soundtrack album. Ahead of the song's release, she teased the single titled "What Was I Made For" through her social media page.

On Wednesday, July 12, the 21-year-old superstar posted a 15-second clip of a music video to accompany the forthcoming song. In the video, she channels the iconic doll, wearing a yellow dress with blonde hair, which is pulled up in a ponytail.

The "Therefore I Am" songstress sits on a chair and pulls a Barbie chest close to her. As she opens the chest, she sings the lyrics with her breathy voice, "I used to float," over a piano melody.

The Grammy winner captioned the short clip simply with, "TOMORROW," which is a reference to the song's release date on Thursday, July 13. The official Instagram account of the "Barbie" movie reacted in the comments section, "we're ready."

One day before, Billie teased the new song with a picture of her channeling retro Barbie. Sporting the same outfit and hair in the photo, she wrote in the caption, " 'What Was I Made For?' SONG AND VIDEO COMING THIS THURSDAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! i caaaaaaaan't wait to see what you think !! that s**t hurted."

"What Was I Made For" features contributions from Billie's Grammy-winning older brother FINNEAS. The duo previously won an Oscar for best original song in 2022 for co-writing the title song from the James Bond film "No Time to Die".

Executive produced by Academy Award-winning songwriter and Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson, the "Barbie" soundtrack is set to feature songs from some of contemporary pop's biggest and brightest stars, such as Lizzo, Fifty Fifty, Kali, Gayle, Khalid, Haim and Ava Max.

A slew of singles have already been released from the soundtrack, including two that have reached the Billboard Hot 100, Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night" (No. 31) and Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and AQUA's "Barbie World" (No. 7).

The soundtrack album will hit the shelves the same day "Barbie" opens in U.S. theaters, on July 21.

Billie recently attended the world premiere of "Barbie" in Los Angeles, where she reacted to a troubling trend of artists being pelted with objects by fans at live shows. "I've been getting hit on stage with things for like, literally, six years," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don't know why this is, like, new. People just get excited and it can be dangerous."

She continued, "I have mixed feelings about it, because when you're up there, it blows. But you know it's out of love, and they're just trying to give you something. [...] You're in a vulnerable position, but I've been getting hit with stuff for like years."
