The 'What Was I Made For?' hitmaker follows a growing trend of artists, including Lady GaGa and The Weeknd, entering the virtual realm for concerts and performances.

AceShowbiz - Pop superstar Billie Eilish is set to headline the Fortnite Festival main stage, following in the footsteps of Lady GaGa and The Weeknd. The virtual music festival will take place from April 23-24.

Eilish, who recently won a Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar for her song "What Was I Made For?" from the "Barbie" movie, announced the collaboration on social media. She tweeted, "Fortnite Festival Main Stage: 4.23.24." The post also included an image of her in-game skin, wearing an electric green outfit similar to the iconic hair color she debuted in her debut album era.

Eilish's appearance at the Fortnite Festival follows a growing trend of artists entering the virtual realm for concerts and performances. Ariana Grande, GaGa, Travis Scott (II), and others have previously held virtual events within the popular game.

Fortnite Festival is a rhythm-based gameplay mode within the Fortnite universe, developed by Harmonix, the studio behind Rock Band. Players can compete for high scores in artist-specific songs, unlock skins, songs, instruments, and other cosmetics. The Festival Pass, priced at 1,800 V-Bucks, is required to unlock all content.

Eilish's Fortnite skin and performance will likely be a major draw for fans of both the artist and the game. Epic Games has yet to release full details about the event, but previous headliners have had rotating songs playable in Fortnite Festival mode and have had themed skins and cosmetics available for purchase.

The announcement of Eilish as the next Fortnite Festival headliner has generated excitement among fans, who will be eagerly awaiting the event's start on April 23.
