AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty is pulling the plug on her third marriage, though it's the least thing that she wanted. The actress is divorcing her third husband Kurt Iswarienko after she was "left with no other option."
A representative for the former "Charmed" star has confirmed the news after she filed for divorce on Friday, April 21. "Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option," the rep, Leslie Sloane, said in a statement to the press.
Leslie also insinuated that another woman was "intimately involved" with their divorce. "You can contact Kurt's agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID as she is intimately involved," the statement continued.
According to TMZ which first reported the divorce, Shannen filed the papers on Friday in Los Angeles. In the documents, the 52-year-old stated that she and her estranged husband have been split up since January.
In the docs filed by Disso Queen Laura Wasser, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum is requesting spousal support and asking it not be awarded to her estranged photographer husband. They reportedly have no preup.
Sources close to the estranged couple tell the site that Shannen's "not well" health-wise and the divorce is very acrimonious, which makes things all the more difficult. Kurt's agent Grimm has not responded to a request for comment on their divorce.
Shannen married Kurt in October 2011 and did not have any kids together. She was previously married to Ashley Hamilton from 1993 to 1994, and Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003.
A year before her nuptials with Kurt, she told PEOPLE that she was taking her third marriage seriously. "Marriage to me is such a gigantic commitment that it's not something I'd ever go into lightly anymore," she said at the time. "I've learned my lesson."
A few hours before filing for divorce, Shannen shared a cryptic message on Instagram. "The only people who deserve to be in your life are the ones who treat you with love, kindness and total respect," it read.
