The former star of 'Beverly Hills, 90210', who is also battling cancer herself, also shows support for the Princess of Wales as she praises the royal's 'strength.'

AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty has blasted conspiracy theorists for sparking speculations about Kate Middleton's whereabouts before the royal came clean with her cancer diagnosis. The "Fortress" star shared a message to the public through Instagram.
"Being a public figure does not mean the public owns that person. We ALL have the right to go thru illness or life privately," the 52-year-old wrote in the Friday, March 22 post. "The onslaught of conspiracy theories, ownership and plain morbid curiosity forced this person to explain herself before she had come to terms with it and explained to her children."
"I pray this is a learning moment for us all to respect privacy of others regardless of being in the public eye," Shannen added. She went on to voice her support to Kate, "And Princess Kate, I admire your strength through the endless onslaught you've been under while going thru (sic) cancer."
Kate's diagnosis has come as a shock to both the royal family and the public. The Princess of Wales shared her story in a video message, revealing that she had been undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer following an abdominal surgery in January.
The type of cancer Kate was diagnosed with remains unclear. A Kensington Palace source said they "will not be sharing any further private medical information," adding that "the Princess has a right to medical privacy, as we all do."
As for Shannen, she is also battling with the life-threatening disease. The actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and later went into remission. In 2020, it was revealed that her breast cancer had returned and was at Stage 4. Then, over the course of 2023, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum said that the cancer had spread to her brain and to her bones.
