The actress, who starred on 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Charmed', explains that she does not want her mother 'to have a bunch of stuff to deal with' if she passes away before her mom.

AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty, the 52-year-old "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed" star, revealed on her podcast, "Let's Be Clear," that she has been decluttering her possessions to make the transition easier for her family if she passes away. "My priority at the moment is my mom," Doherty said. "I know it's going to be hard on her if I pass away before her. I don't want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with."

Doherty has been giving away and selling items, including a collection of antiques, that she has accumulated over the years. She explained that letting go of her possessions doesn't bring her joy anymore and that she prefers to focus on creating memories with her loved ones.

"I don't need this," Doherty said. "It doesn't really bring me any great joy, but what does bring me great joy is taking my mom to the places that she's always wanted to go to. I get to build different memories - I get to build memories with the people I love."

Doherty's decision to declutter has also helped her emotionally. "It feels like you're giving up on something that was very special and important to you," she said. "But you know that it's the right thing to do and that it's going to give you a sense of peace and a sense of calm."

Despite her health challenges, Doherty remains optimistic. "I'm not done with living. I'm not done with loving. I'm not done with creating," she said. "I'm just not, I'm not done."

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission in 2017. However, the cancer returned in 2020 and spread to her bones.
