Some of these celebrities are distant cousins. Some even are surprisingly related to a British royal member. There are also those who become in-laws with their own co-stars.

1. Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie
Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie are not only friends, but also a pair of sisters-in-law. Nicole married Joel Madden in December 2010. Five years later, Cameron tied the knot with Joel's twin brother Benji Madden.
Back in 2020, the "Bad Teacher" actress reacted in a hilarious way to a fan, who reminded everyone of the pair's relationship. "Nicole Richie & Cameron Diaz are sister in laws and I feel like we don't talk about it enough," the fan tweeted. Cameron replied, "[twin emoji] ?!? [mind blown emoji] !!! [winky faces] @nicolerichie."
2. Barbra Streisand and Josh Brolin
Barbra Streisand and Josh Brolin may be a mother-son duo that not many people know. The "Memory" singer is actually the actor's stepmother. She's been married to the "Avengers: Endgame" actor's father James Brolin since 1998.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Josh revealed that Barbra is a "typical Jewish grandmother." Josh, who was expecting his first child with wife Kathryn Boyd at the time, said, "She is one of those … it's annoying but in a really great way, [with] emails every day and like, 'Hey, I thought of this name, what do you think of that? … When can I come over and feel the baby?' " He added, "She is really into it and I love that she is into it. I mean, it's like very typical Jewish grandmother who is saturated by this event. It's awesome."
3. Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein
While Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein don't share their last name, their similar facial features should be a dead giveaway. The "Superbad" actor and the "Booksmart" star are actually siblings.
Additionally, the two have a pretty strong sibling bond. In a post on Instagram back in 2018, Jonah flaunted a tattoo of Beanie on his arm. The tats read, "HELLO, BEANIE!"
4. Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire
Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire are related to each other by marriage. The "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" hitmaker was previously married to the country star's stepson, Brandon Blackstock.
Kelly and Reba showed off their bond when they teamed up in April 2018, at the Academy of Country Music Awards to perform Reba's hit song, "Does He Love You". Kelly, however, filed for divorce from Brandon in June 2020. They reached divorce settlement this March.
5. Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy
Apparently, funny runs in the McCarthy family. "The Masked Singer" judge Jenny McCarthy and "Spy" actress Melissa McCarthy turn out to be cousins.
Jenny didn't even hesitate to defend her cousin when film critic Rex Reed criticized Melissa's weight in his "Identity Thief" review. "I don't have the whole story, but, I do know that, after being in this business 20 years, it's really crummy that you get attacked in your personal life in general," "The Jenny McCarthy Show" host and author said in an interview in 2013.
6. Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick
Some families are indeed blessed with amazing musical talent. Dionne Warwick is Whitney Houston's first cousin. Her mother is the older sister of Whitney's mother, Cissy.
"Cissy had an incredible voice and that transferred to her little baby, Whitney," Dionne told PEOPLE Magazine in an interview. "Whitney came up exactly the way we all did, in the church choir. It was just preordained, she was going to sing. Her destiny was as was the rest of the family. As if God pointed a finger at us and said, 'Let them vocal cords do what they got to do.' "
7. Gabrielle Union and Saweetie
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Two talented stars Gabrielle Union and Saweetie are actually cousins. In December 2018, the "Bring It On" alum revealed that the "Best Friend" raptress is her second cousin.
"Her father and I are 1st cousins," the actress tweeted at the time. "Her grandma is my aunt Joanne Glass who I based Eva from 'Deliver Us From Eva' on. #FunFact #DozensOfCousins."
8. Kate Middleton and Dakota and Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning are apparently descendants of royalty. In a 2014 interview with PEOPLE, a family historian from Ancestry.com confirmed Dakota and Elle have relations to King Edward III, who ruled England from 1327 to 1377.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's mother Carole Middleton, is also a descendant of King Edward III. That means the Fannings and the Duchess of Cambridge are distant kin. Elle is Kate's 21st cousin.
9. Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt
Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt are related by marriage. The actor is married to "A Quiet Place" star's older sister Felicity Blunt. For a fun fact, the two starred in the 2006 comedy, "The Devil Wears Prada".
Emily also shared a little bit of detail about the actor in an interview. "I love that Stan starts each day walking into the kitchen ... going 'Ah, Chrisssst,' probably from a sleepless night of small children being up or from a night where martinis flowed," she told PEOPLE.
10. Snoop Dogg and Brandy
Snoop Dogg and Brandy are two talented first cousins. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper confirmed to MTV that they're related in 2006. "We never really told the world because we weren’t trippin' off of that, but that's my family," he said at the time.
The two musicians additionally worked together on the 2009 song, "Special". As Brandy is the sister of reality TV star and music artist Ray J, that makes Snoop Dogg and Ray J are related as well.
