Meanwhile, the 'Toxic' hitmaker's conservator Jodi Montgomery fires back at Jamie Spears' claims suggesting that she's responsible for the singer's 'difficulties and suffering.'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has lost her battle in her 13-year-long conservatorship yet again. It was reported that a judge denied a petition filed by her court-appointed lawyer Sam Ingham to have her father Jamie Spears removed from his role as her sole conservator.

"The conservator's request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice," so read court documents. However, it was said that the documents are not in direct response to the pop star's Wednesday, 23 June hearing where she dropped an explosive testimony.

This was not the first time Britney faced a setback regarding her conservatorship. Back in November 2020, Judge Brenda Penny denied Sam's request to suspend Jamie from the conservatorship although Sam stated that the "Toxic" hitmaker was "afraid of her father." At that time, the judge appointed Bessemer Trust as a co-conservator.

In her hearing last week, Britney slammed her father for controlling her life and compared her consevatorship to "sex trafficking." Although Jamie was "sorry" to see his daughter in pain, he put the blame on her current co-conservator Jodi Montgomery for her "difficulties and suffering."

"Ms. Montgomery has been fully in charge of Ms. Spears' personal care and medical treatment in consultations with Mr. Ingham - and which consultations specifically excluded Mr. Spears," so read his filing. "Mr. Spears, therefore, was greatly saddened to hear of his daughter's difficulties and suffering, and he believes that there must be an investigation into those claims."

Jodi, however, has fired back at Jamie's filing through a statement released by her attorney Lauriann Wright, saying that she has been "a tireless advocate" for Britney. She also insisted that Jamie is charged with approving any and all expenditures as the controller of her daughter's estate.

"Practically speaking, since everything costs money, no expenditures can happen without going through Mr. Spears and Mr. Spears approving them," the statement read. "Ms. Montgomery has advocated on Britney's behalf for any expenditures that Britney has requested as well as for expenditures recommended by Britney's medical team."

"Not every requested expenditure has been approved," the message continued. "Jamie Spears, as conservator of the estate, has a duty to make decisions in the best interests of the estate, and sometimes that has meant requested expenditures have been denied or limited."
